A Legacy of Education

In 1996, Shari partnered with Devachan Co-founders to help build the DevaCurl brand, including its salons, products, and signature techniques. Shari was established as an education tour de force while supporting the salon and brand development where they taught their esteemed team of pros how to cut, color and style natural textures.

In 2004, they co-founded the DevaCurl Academy and for 15 years, Shari led the evolution of the training programs with a focus on teaching, curriculum design and educator development.

A Born creative leader

Since she could remember, Shari Harbinger has been creating and transforming anything she could get her hands on. 

A natural artist with a life-long penchant for hair, Shari dove into the industry full-force when she landed a position at Clairol in 1987.  As a member of the sales education team, she learned firsthand how effective teaching and training could drive sales. For over a decade, Shari worked at top-tier salons in NYC as a lead colorist and led programs as the Director of Education for The Paramount Distributorship, including training for Schwarzkopf USA, Bain De Terre, Nioxin, and other stellar brands.

A House is Built  

Through her dynamic experience, Shari cultivated the expertise, know-how and mindset that the haircare industry desperately needs. 

As Shari sharpened her mission of inspiring and moving people into action, she envisioned an interactive, highly supportive education platform dedicated to helping beauty pros thrive.  Bolstered by her priceless experience as a salon partner, education director and founding member for a professional haircare brand, House of Harbinger was built.

Shari knows that self-discovery is a powerful element in achieving success.  With her daring encouragement and charisma, she’s here to bring back excitement, purpose and joy to the lives of beauty industry professionals.
