Accelerate Your Business For Success

It’s been an expansive month in both business endeavors and on a personal level.

In business, the House Of Harbinger online programs + private coaching opportunities continue to educate, inspire and influence industry professionals. Last month’s free training opportunity was met with such a positive response (+ new enrollments!) I’ve decided to attach the link again in case you missed it! The comments I’ve received confirm that the lessons inside are truly helping professionals step up their business game.

FEELING STUCK?

Why do some of us resist moving beyond stagnation in order to unleash progress?

While the notion that beauty professionals resist learning may not apply to everyone, this topic remains a recurring theme amongst some of my clients and colleagues. While many haven understanding that the world is constantly evolving and ongoing learning is essential for staying relevant, there are still many who aren’t willing to overcome potential barriers and seek out opportunities for growth

Here are some potential reasons why some resist learning:

Complacency:

When people achieve a certain level of success, they might feel that they already know enough to maintain their position, and they might become less motivated to actively seek out new knowledge or skills.

Time Constraints:

They might feel that they simply don't have the time to dedicate to additional learning, especially if they believe it won't provide immediate benefits to their current role or projects.

Fear of Change:

There could be a fear that introducing new learning might disrupt this formula and lead to failure. Change can be unsettling, even for those who are successful.

Risk Aversion

Learning something new can feel like starting from scratch, and there's a perceived risk that the new knowledge won't lead to the same level of success as their current methods.

Ego +Overconfidence:

People might believe that their current knowledge and methods are superior to any new information, leading them to resist the idea that there's more to learn.

Sunk Cost Fallacy: If someone has invested a significant amount of time and effort into mastering their current skill set, they might be reluctant to switch gears and invest resources into learning something new, even if it could potentially be beneficial in the long run.

Lack of Awareness:

Sometimes, successful professionals might not be aware of the gaps in their knowledge or the changing landscape of their industry. They might assume that what worked in the past will continue to work, without recognizing the need for ongoing learning.

You must be able to handle all of the moving parts that accompany operating your business.

It’s the only way you’ll be able to monetize your services and surpass your goals.

  • What are some reasons you might resist learning and growing?

  • Is it possible that there are things that you may not be aware of that you need to do in order for this type of growth to happen for you?

  • Which of these areas should you focus on to help you get unstuck and move the needle forward.

I’ve made many mistakes throughout my career…

but I also made some smart decisions that got me to here. Amongst those were finding a mentor, someone who could be a sounding board that I could bounce ideas off of. Someone who’s been there and could offer me insight and direction. I quickly realized that I would need to invest in my own learning after making the mistake of thinking I already knew all there was to know about being an entrepreneur. The knowledge and insight I took away from my mentor and from my learning resulted in the House Of Harbinger programs that I teach today.

There are things you may not have learned in beauty school, or even out of school, and things you may have missed or forgotten. It's not just one thing, like elevating technical expertise, but rather, a culmination- it's layers of knowledge and skills built on each other which is the key to hitting or even exceeding your goals while finding joy and passion along the way in order to accelerate your growth.

Getting unstuck in business requires a combination of strategic thinking, adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to take action.

Here are some steps you can take to break through obstacles in your business:

✅ Identify the Problem:

Clearly define what is causing the feeling of being stuck. Pinpointing the specific issue is crucial to finding a solution.

✅ Review your current business strategy.

Is it still aligned with your goals and market conditions? If not, consider revising or refining your strategy to better suit the current landscape.

✅ Gather Data and Insights:

Analyze trends, customer feedback, and industry reports to gain a better understanding of the situation.

✅ Brainstorm Solutions:

Encourage creativity and diverse perspectives to come up with innovative ideas.

✅ Prioritize Actions:

Prioritize the ideas that have the most potential impact on your business and are realistically achievable within your resources.

✅ Break it Down:

Sometimes, the feeling of being stuck comes from tackling a large problem all at once. This can make it less overwhelming and allow for incremental progress.

✅ Seek Expert Advice:

They can offer valuable insights and fresh perspectives that you might not have considered.

✅ Embrace Change:

Sometimes, the solutions might involve pivoting your business model, exploring new markets, or adopting new technologies. Embrace change as a way to move forward.

✅ Experiment and Iterate:

Implement the solutions you've identified, but be prepared to adapt and iterate if they don't produce the desired results. Business is dynamic, and flexibility is key.

✅ Stay Customer-Focused:

Regularly engage with your customers to gather feedback and understand how you can better serve them.

✅ Invest in Learning and Development:

Sometimes, feeling stuck can be a result of a skills gap. This could involve attending workshops, courses, or hiring new talent.

✅ Celebrate Small Wins:

Acknowledge and celebrate the small victories along the way. This can boost morale and provide motivation to keep pushing forward.

✅ Take Care of Yourself:

Remember to take care of your physical and mental well-being. A clear mind and good health will help you make better decisions.

By approaching challenges strategically and with determination, you can overcome obstacles and continue moving your business forward.

Today is a great day to move the needle forward!
