You're Creative. BIG DEAL, Yes, it is!

Your creativity and style isn’t just unbridled emotion, it’s the bridge between you and your clients! When you’re able to showcase what you’ve created through your work, whether it’s a cut, color design or finished look, it allows your clients to experience your artistic form of expression and feel part of it.

It’s a magical world when you are able to immerse yourself in it and feel that wonderful sensation where there are no limits, and that anything is possible.

So yes, creativity is a big deal!

Creative Skills are one of the power skills you’ll learn to make it in this business! And my 4 Pillar Strategy Program will show you how to develop and implement them for business success.

So, here is what you should know about creativity:

  • There are actually two distinct types of creativity, and learning how to incorporate them into your business is critical to your success.

  • Many of the greatest creative works are products of combined ARTISTIC creativity and PRAGMATIC creativity.

LET’S BREAK IT DOWN:

👉ARTISTIC CREATIVITY

At its core, artistic creativity is about coming up with new ideas and having the chance to become one with what you create. It’s more free flowing, less encumbered. It’s an opportunity to bathe in the glory of your artistry and allow yourself to be taken over by it.

Tip: To incorporate pragmatic creativity with artistic creativity, what if you took your cut or color design and made it more logical and sound so that the artistry has both form and function?

👉PRAGMATIC CREATIVITY

Pragmatic or problem-solving creative thinking is the type of creativity that nearly everyone uses on a daily basis. It’s the process of coming up with a new way to solve a problem. At the workplace, it could be the act of thinking through the day-to-day challenges in novel ways. This type of creativity is very goal-oriented and logical. Even though it’s based highly on reasoning, pragmatic creativity is still creative because it involves thinking up new ideas to reach a solution more creatively, which is what creativity is really all about.

TIP: To incorporate artistic creativity with pragmatic creativity, what if you turned a daily task into a ritual? Consider prepping your salon station with something creative like art or a plant or perhaps welcome your clients by dancing or strutting your way over to greet them with a huge smile on your face!

Now it’s your turn!

😜 Try blending logical thinking with artistic creativity and see what comes out as a result. And remember that utilizing both approaches to creativity is where some of the most powerful ideas come from.

😜 Be a PRAGMATIC architect of ARTISTIC ideas and see what happens!

We are all part of a community where both types of creativity blend beautifully, as seen in the works of famous stylists who seamlessly blend artistic form with function.

The late great Vidal Sassoon, known for his eponymous provocative looks & clean architectural lines was a pure example of blending both types of creativity. His looks were, and still are wearable and timeless.
