TIP #1
BEAUTY SCHOOL SEQUEL.
Be open to learning different approaches until you discover what works best for you and your clients. Continue to refine your skills by attending as many technical workshops as possible. Remember , you are not an expert just because you attended and completed a workshop. You were simply given the knowledge and tools to take with you back to your salon. And only with practice and repetition will you become more skilled and ready for practical application.
TIP#2
KNOW YOUR CLIENTS HAIR
OBSERVE hair health, hydration, density, existing shape and color , previous color or chemical services, and texture. Based on your observation, you can now anticipate the behavior of the hair and make a informed decision and adjust your approach accordingly. As a stylist important to deliver results that will keep your clients coming back.
DEFINE Current weight line, perimeter and interior, existing cutting or color technique used.
DECIDE whether to elevate, trim, preserve available length, modify existing color
TIP #3
USE HIGH QUALITY SCISSORS
The blades should be durable enough for wet or dry cutting since different textures and styles require a customized approach for each client. Your dexterity must be strong in order to cut hair smoothly and accurately. A scissor with a finger rest will help with precision.
TIP#4
USE TOP OF THE LINE COLORING PRODUCTS
Products developed by leading chemists and with hydrating benefits are best. Make sure you know your color theory, especially natural color foundational principles. And, always remember to gather as much information as needed regarding your clients past color experiences so that you can make the most informed formulation decisions.

NEVER SETTLE FOR MEDIOCRE
Even if you think you’ve learned it all, the proof is in client retention. If you are unable to attract or retain clients, it is time to revisit the four pillars and strengthen the skills that will make you the best that you can be.
